Rates, Fees and Methods of Payment

Translation: fees range from £60 to £120 per 1000 words (depending on complexity, technicality, urgency, etc. and subject to a minimum charge). For example, a personal letter would tend to be charged nearer the lower limit, a legal or technical document at around £95/000 and advertising copy at around £120/000. Generally, no distinction is made in price terms between translations from English into Spanish or from Spanish into English.

Interpreting: this is generally charged by the half day or full day. Rates for business, technical, legal and community interpreting are £175 per half day and £300 for a full day. In exceptional cases an hourly rate may be charged. Quotations for conference interpreting are supplied on request. All fees are exclusive of travel and accommodation expenses where applicable.

Voice-overs: these are charged at a flat rate of £500 per recording session (no more than one normal working day).

Bilingual Secretarial Services: billed at £20 per hour (subject to minimum charge).

Audio Transcription: as a general guide, our rate for transcription (including translation) is £120 per 1000 words (this does depend to some extent on the clarity of speech on the tape).

Spanish tuition: our rate is £30 per hour for private individuals and £40 per hour for companies, exclusive of travelling costs and time, if applicable.

The above figures are given as a guide only and are subject to final quotation.

HOW TO PAY

For non-account customers, we ask for payment in advance or on completion of the work. For account customers we will invoice you and request payment within 30 days of our invoice. Payment can be by cash, cheque or BACS.
