Interpreting
Interpreting is the ‘live’ translation of the spoken
word. Interpreting situations that we can cater for are:
Simultaneous or Conference Interpreting: Advice on organisation,
supply of booths and specialist conference interpreters. Due to
its specialist nature, this service needs to be organised well
in advance.
Court Interpreting: We supply legally trained interpreters for
civil or criminal cases, including cross-examination of witnesses
and defendants.
Business Interpreting: Customer-supplier or business-to-business
negotiations, with the interpreter playing a vital role in facilitating
communication, avoiding misunderstandings and helping both sides
to achieve a mutually satisfactory outcome.
Technical Interpreting: This might involve a guided tour of a
factory or a week-long technical training course for Spanish-speaking
personnel.
Community Interpreting: This includes a wide range of areas, such
as social services, mental health, immigration, police, etc. A
DPSI (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting) qualified interpreter
can be supplied if required. |
